The North Rhine-Westphalia State Prevention Council (LPR NRW)
The State Prevention Council of North Rhine-Westphalia is a body set up by the state government, which includes experts from several departments of the state government, organizations, associations and clubs that are involved in crime prevention in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The aim of the committee is to promote and optimize crime prevention for society as a whole at state and municipal level and to make an effective contribution to preventive crime prevention.
To this end, the State Prevention Council should analyze the supra-local development of crime and the conditions under which it arises, make crime phenomena visible to the public and develop counter-strategies for society as a whole on the basis of the knowledge and experience gained from science and practice through prevention concepts and projects. The State Prevention Council is managed by the Ministry of Justice.
